I don’t care how influenced Frightened Rabbit are by The Arcade Fire. They know what waterfalls sound like to the deaf. They feel the rumbling in their bones. Their feet welcome the dampness of the ground. They savor the moisture on their lips, the spray against their fingertips.

There’s treble trickling down the side of the mountain, percussive slaps cascading from nape to heel. There are mids and lows to muffle memory and muddy the past.

It’s the roar of possibility, it is, and Frightened Rabbit feel it where it matters most.

As do I.

hey rahawa, have you ever listened to eastern conference champions? their album ameritown was one of my favorites from last year. i think you might like them.

this doesn't have anything to do with frightened rabbit, although the person who introduced me to eastern conference champions is also a fan of frightened rabbit, so maybe it does!

Remember: There's a different between being influenced and blatantly ripping someone off.

Definitely a good distinction to make. I never accused Frightened Rabbit of aping The Arcade Fire. I've just read a great deal of criticism about them bearing a slight similarity and wanted to say that I believe Frightened Rabbit can stand their own ground. “Go-Go-Girls” should be proof enough.
